In the open air
The superb landscapes of Cap Sizun are best explored by bicycle. To this end, Le Goyen offers you the possibility of renting electric bicycles for half a day or a day.
This part of Brittany will also please hiking enthusiasts. The GR34, one of the most beautiful hiking trails in France, is close to the hotel-restaurant Le Goyen.
We particularly recommend :
- The part of the GR34 linking the Pointe du Raz to the Pointe du Van for its postcard landscapes.
- The Pointe du Millier hike, located at the entrance to the Bay of Douarnenez. On the menu, a panorama of the bay of Douarnenez and the Cap de la Chèvre on the Crozon peninsula.
Island of Sein
It is possible to embark all year round for theisland of Sein located 1 hour's crossing from the port of Audierne, in the heart of the Iroise Sea.
The crossing is an opportunity to admire a fabulous panorama, the wild beauty of the elements, but also the Vieille lighthouse where powerful currents roar or the anglers in search of the famous " line bass ".
Dolphins, gannets and seals often accompany passengers to the island's ferry terminal, the end of this beautiful journey.
The small island of Sein offers a unique experience. Take advantage of the stopover to stroll through the narrow streets with their colourful houses, visit the museum and climb to the top of the lighthouse for a breathtaking view.
Culture and heritage
Take the time to visit Quimper, the cradle of Cornouaille. Labelled as a Town of Art and History, the Breton city invites you to discover its exceptional architectural and cultural heritage: Saint-Corentin cathedral, timber-framed houses, ramparts... Not forgetting the Henriot earthenware factory, one of the oldest French companies located in the Locmaria district.
Douarnenez, the Mecca of sardine fishing in the 19th century, has preserved its heritage of workshops and small fishermen's houses. Take the time to visit the Port-Museum of Douarnenez, which is dedicated to the history and evolution of the area, the skills of sailors and carpenters...
Don't miss a visit to the port of Guilvinec where the spectacle of the return of the fishing boats attracts many people every day. Haliotika, the Fishing City, is located in this small port. A place where you can learn all about the profession of fisherman and the journey of the fish from the sea to the plate!
Many other towns are waiting for you: Locronan, Concarneau, Pont-Aven...
Landscapes at the end of the world
The wide open spaces of Brittany are yours! Your stay at the hotel Le Goyen will be an opportunity to discover the Pointe du Raz, the Pointe du Van, the Cap Sizun, unique and grandiose pieces of nature!
Labelled a Grand Site de France, the Pointe du Raz offers a panorama like no other. Its high cliffs covered with moorland, exposed to the sea and the wind, are undoubtedly the most famous place on the north coast. From there, continue your journey from the Pointe du Van to the Pointe du Millier. Part of this area is the Cap Sizun reserve, a paradise for sea birds.
